Accessibility Statement
Accessibility
Hygyrchedd
CardiffPal is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, whatever their abilities or the technology they use. This statement explains how accessible we are, where we fall short, and what to do if you find a problem.
About CardiffPal
CardiffPal is a free, independent civic information platform for Cardiff. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Cardiff Council. It is built and operated by Code2Box, an AI solutions agency based in Cardiff.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. We are working towards full conformance with that standard, but we are not yet able to claim that every part of the site fully conforms. We are reviewing and improving the site on an ongoing basis.
Steps we have taken so far include:
- Designing pages so they can be read clearly and navigated with a keyboard.
- Using clear headings, good colour contrast, and readable text sizes.
- Providing the site in both English and Welsh, selectable at any time.
- Avoiding any third-party advertising or tracking that could clutter the experience.
Known limitations
We want to be honest about the areas where the site does not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. We are actively working on the following:
Welsh-language coverage
Welsh-language coverage has been extended across the site and is currently being reviewed by a native speaker to make sure it reads clearly and accurately.
The interactive map
Our interactive map uses Leaflet, which has limited support for screen readers. If you use a screen reader and cannot use the map, the same information is available in our written guides, or you can contact us for help.
Links to other websites
Some links lead to council services and other third-party websites that we do not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of those external sites.
Reporting an accessibility problem
We are always looking to improve. If you find a problem that is not listed on this page, or if you need information from this site in a different format, please get in touch.
Email us at hello@code2box.com.
We aim to respond within a reasonable time. Please tell us what you were trying to do, which page you were on, and what went wrong, so we can help as quickly as possible.
If you are not happy with our response
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations. If you are unhappy with how we respond to your accessibility complaint, you can contact the EHRC.
