About CardiffPal

Ynglŷn â CardiffPal

CardiffPal brings every Cardiff council and civic service together in one clear, bilingual place — so you can find what you need without hunting across a dozen different websites.

What CardiffPal is

CardiffPal is a free civic information platform for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Cardiff. Instead of scattering essential information across many separate sites, we gather it into one place you can trust, in both English and Welsh.

In one site you can:

  • Check your bin and recycling collection day and learn the bag colours.
  • Understand council tax — bands, discounts, and how to pay.
  • Plan journeys with transport, parking and travel information.
  • Find housing help, including renting, council housing and support.
  • Report a local problem such as fly-tipping, potholes or street issues.
  • Explore an interactive map of services and useful local places.
  • Get emergency and out-of-hours information when you need it most.

Who runs CardiffPal

CardiffPal is built and operated by Code2Box, an AI solutions agency based in Cardiff. We build practical digital tools that make everyday services easier to use. CardiffPal grew out of a simple frustration: civic information in Cardiff was spread thinly across many websites, and rarely as easy to use in Welsh as in English.

Operator: Code2Box ([registered company details — to be confirmed]). Data protection registration: [ICO registration number — to be confirmed].

We are independent

CardiffPal is a free, independent civic information platform for Cardiff. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Cardiff Council. Where we point you to a council service or another organisation, we link to their official website — they remain responsible for their own services and information. We simply make those services easier to find.

Our mission

Our mission is to make Welsh civic services easy to use and bilingual by default. Too often, public information is hard to navigate and the Welsh-language version is an afterthought. We believe both languages deserve equal, careful treatment, and that finding a bin day or reporting a pothole should take seconds, not searching.
